We Won’t Dignify Those Whose Moral Compass Defies the Values of Our Society — Abia APC Renaissance Group
The Abia APC Renaissance Group has disclosed that it won’t dignify people whose moral compass defies the values of the society.
In a Press Statement dated October 6, 2025, the group observed with keen interest the recent developments in the state’s political space, and an alleged smear campaign launched against the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu, by agents of the Abia State Government.
“It is no longer news that during the road commissioning on October 3, the Deputy Speaker, in his characteristic candour, urged Governor Alex Otti to do more for the people of Abia State, given the unprecedented funds now accruing to subnational governments due to the institutional reforms of the Tinubu administration.
“Rather than taking the Deputy Speaker’s counsel in good faith, elements within the Abia State Government reportedly convened a strategy meeting on October 4 at the residence of one of the commissioners in Umuahia. At that meeting, it was allegedly resolved to launch a sustained media offensive against both President Tinubu and Rt. Hon. Benjamin Kalu.
“Barely 24 hours later, one of their aides, Mr. Dannie Ubani, fired the first shot recklessly describing President Tinubu’s government as “the worst administration in history.” Since then, they have doubled down, sponsoring media propaganda to create a false impression of disagreement between the Deputy Speaker and Senator Orji Uzor Kalu, both of whom remain pillars of APC unity and progress in Abia State.
“This desperate attempt to sow discord among respected leaders from Bende is not only mischievous but also laughable. It is yet another classic display of the propaganda-driven governance style that has become the trademark of the current Abia administration high on optics, low on substance.
“Let it be known that the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Abia State has healed from past internal issues and now stands more united than ever before. We are resolute in our commitment to rescue Abia from deception and underperformance. Come 2027, Abia will return to the path of genuine development under the APC.
“As for those who think they can distract us with petty insults and fabricated stories, we say this: We will not dignify individuals whose moral bankruptcy and deviant values have shattered their homes and driven their wives away. As a group, we do not associate with men whose sexual orientation contradict the moral fabric of our society.
“The people of Abia can now see through the charade of those who prefer propaganda to progress and image-laundering to impact. Our focus remains on building a united and progressive Abia under a government that truly works for the people”.
