The Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Due Process, Dr. Oluebube Chukwu, has extended a goodwill message to children across the state and the nation on the occasion of their 2025 Children’s Day celebration, describing them as a heritage of the Lord and a reward from Him.
In a statement, Dr. Chukwu joined millions of Nigerians in celebrating the nation’s younger generation, acknowledging their invaluable role in the development of the society.
“Children are the heritage of the Lord and a reward from Him,” Dr. Chukwu emphasized, citing the divine significance of children in every family and society. “They are a mighty sword that needs to be carefully nurtured to bring about positive transformation”.
He praised children for their resilience and potential, referring to them as change agents and future leaders that the society must invest in and protect. Dr. Chukwu also urged parents, teachers, government agencies and stakeholders to prioritize the welfare, education, and moral upbringing of children, as they are the cornerstone of any thriving nation.
“As a government, we remain committed to policies and initiatives that will ensure every child in Abia State has access to quality education, healthcare, and a safe environment to grow and thrive”, he added.
The SSA reaffirmed the state government’s dedication to upholding children’s rights and empowering them with the tools necessary to fulfill their dreams.
He added that the Children’s Day celebration, marked across the nation is a reminder of the importance of child development in national growth, calling all levels of government and society to renew their commitment to building a better future for the next generation.
