A female shoe cobbler in Abia State, Ugonna Chinyere Favour, has publicly expressed gratitude to businessman and politician, Chief Chima Anyaso, popularly known as Ofuji, for empowering her with vital start-up tools that have transformed her trade.
Chinyere, who took to her Facebook page recently, recounted how Anyaso supported her four years ago with essential equipment that gave her business a strong footing. She revealed that the philanthropist’s intervention at a critical point in her life enabled her to sustain her craft and achieve economic independence.
Among the tools donated by Anyaso were a pressing machine, a 3,000-watt generator, shoe laces, an electric cutting machine, a sewing machine, a big gallon of bond gum, a thick wooden table and stool, scissors of different sizes, and hammers. According to her, these items provided the foundation she needed to establish her workshop and grow her clientele.
