Dr Chukwu Commends Abia Governor Over Launch Of WAN Project For Civil Servants

As the state takes another bold step toward a digitally-driven Abia State.the Senior Special Assistant to the Abia State Governor on Due Process,Dr Oluebube Chukwu,has commended the Governor of the State, Dr Alex Otti,as he  flags-off the Umuahia Dedicated Internet Access/Wide Area Network(WAN) Project for Civil Servants, Friday,21st of March 2025.
In a chat with journalists in Umuahia, Dr Oluebube Chukwu said the landmark initiative is aimed at revolutionizing digital connectivity within the Abia state civil service, thereby enhancing civil service efficiency.
Chukwu disclosed that the project underscores government’s strategic focus on leveraging digital infrastructure to facilitate real-time communication, optimize workflow processes and promote transparency within the civil service.
He said the WAN project, which would be officially inaugurated at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Secretariat Complex, Ogurube Layout, Umuahia, is designed to establish seamless, high-speed internet connectivity across government offices, thereby fostering data-driven decision-making, enhanced collaboration among ministries and a more responsive public service delivery system.
Dr Chukwu further noted that the initiative aligns with global best practices in e-governance, positioning Abia State at the forefront of digital transformation within Nigeria’s public sector. He reiterated the administration’s unwavering commitment to ensuring that civil servants are equipped with the necessary tools to operate efficiently in a technology-driven environment.
“As Abia State continues to embrace innovative digital solutions, the launch of this WAN project marks a significant milestone in the state’s efforts to modernize governance and enhance service delivery for the benefit of its citizens.
“The Government’s commitment to leveraging technology for efficient governance, will improve service delivery and a digitally empowered workforce”, Chukwu added.
He, however, called on Abians to double their support for the Governor,as his visions for the state would promote and reposition the State for better development.
