Following the resignation of the member representing Isuikwuato State Constituency in the Abia House of Assembly,Hon Lucky Johnson from the Peoples Democratic Party(PDP), the Chief of Staff to the Lawmaker, High Chief Okechukwu Okorie, has resigned his position as Chief of Staff, stating his undying commitment to the PDP.

Resignation from the Position of Chief of Staff
I hope this letter finds you well. It is with a heavy heart that I submit my resignation from the position of your Chief of Staff, effective today, 25th, March, 2025, due to political differences.
During my tenure, I have worked diligently to support the goals and vision of your leadership and to contribute to the development and progress of your office. However, after much reflection and consideration, I have come to the conclusion that the political direction you have currently headed does not align with my personal values and principles as a committed member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP). As a result, it has become clear that stepping down from my role as your Chief of Staff is the most appropriate course of action.
This decision has not been made lightly, as I hold a deep respect and loyalty for my party as the Chairman of PDP Isuikwuato LGA and the Chairman of all PDP LG Chairmen (CofC). The office comes with great responsibility, which I must not only uphold but demonstrate.
I am proud of the achievements I made during my time as your Chief of Staff, but I am more committed to supporting the growth and success of Abia PDP.
I want to express my sincere gratitude for the opportunity to serve in this capacity and I will always cherish the relationships built throughout this journey.
