The Actors Guild of Nigeria, Abia State Chapter, has felicitated with the newly sworn-in Governor of Abia state, Dr Alex Otti, on his successful inauguration, urging him to help salvage Abia.
Interacting with newsmen in Umuahia, the Abia State chairman of the Actors Guild of Nigeria, David Amalaha, enjoined the new state Governor to concentrate on reviving the state economy and infrastructures which have become deplorable.
Amalaha stated that Abia is lucky to have Gov Alex Otti at the helm of affairs, particularly at a time the state is in dire need of a technocrat who could direct and manage the state’s resources for productivity.
He relayed the support of the Actors Guild of Nigeria to the Otti’s administration, stressing that they wont relent, while appealing to the new Governor to look into revamping the entertainment industry in Abia.
The Actors Guild chairman, David Amalaha, however, enjoined the Otti’s led government, to take seriously the issue of workers salaries and pensions,as well, set policies that would help grow the state’s Internally Generated Revenue (IGR), with special focus on Aba, which is the commercial hub of the state.
He further gave the assurance that the present administration would rewrite and change the narrative of the state,praying God to grant the new Governor grace to succeed.
