Abia PDP Unveils Commissioners for Shadow Govt

The People’s Democratic Party(PDP),in Abia State, has unveiled Commissioners that will serve under it’s shadow government.

 

In a Press Release signed by the State Publicity Secretary of the PDP, Eric Ikwuagwu, disclosed that the Chairman of the party, Elder Abraham Amah, has approved the appointment of some distinguished Abians to serve in the Abia State Shadow Government (ABSSHG).
According to the Release, the  appointments reflect the commitment of the party to hold the State government accountable to its responsibility to Abia citizens, scrutinise it’s actions, inactions and policies of the  government and as well as, offer alternative opinions. It stated that the  appointees would mirror the positions of each individual State government ministry with their expertise and dedication to serving the people of Abia State with differing but viable alternative viewpoints.

These appointments are part of our ongoing efforts to build a robust alternative solution for governance that is responsive to the needs and aspirations of our citizens. The members of the Abia State Shadow Government are tasked with not only providing alternative viewpoints, but also to conduct research, and offer recommendations on policies that affect the lives of our people.
We believe that by empowering capable individuals to take on these shadow roles, we can strengthen the democratic process and work collaboratively towards a prosperous and united Abia State.
The State Chairman expresses gratitude to all those who accepted these appointments and looks forward to their contributions to the development of our state.
