If Gov Otti Declares for Second Tenure, We Will Support Him – Chima Anyaso
The Founder of Caades Group and the Chima Anyaso Foundation, Dr. Chima Anyaso, has openly pledged his full support to the re-election of the Governor of Abia State, Dr. Alex Otti, should he declare interest in a second term.
Speaking during a press briefing at his country home in Igbere, Bende Local Government Area of Abia State, Dr. Anyaso described Governor Otti’s leadership style and achievements so far as outstanding, stressing that his administration has brought a new sense of direction and credibility to governance in the state.
He noted that Governor Otti has distinguished himself with visible performance and reforms that resonate with the people, adding that personalities of his own caliber, who believe in progressive leadership, would not hesitate to back such a leader, particularly to secure reelection.

According to him, Iriji Ofuji is not political, but a celebration that promotes culture and diversity, pointing that the platform can be used to rally support for the Governor, bearing in mind his sterling performances in the state barely three years in office. He added that once the Governor formally declares his intention to contest again, he and his supporters will “throw their full weight behind his victory”.
Dr. Anyaso also spoke about his upcoming plan to host the Iriji (New Yam Festival) across the three senatorial districts of Abia State, explaining that the initiative goes beyond cultural celebration, as it is aimed at uniting communities, promoting peace, and reinforcing shared values that strengthen the social and political fabric of the state. He further emphasized that culture remains a rallying point for the people of Abia and leveraging such platforms would foster inclusiveness and development.
He, however, reaffirmed his commitment to working with like-minded leaders and groups to ensure that Abia continues on the path of progress and stability, stressing that continuity in governance is critical to consolidating the gains already recorded under Governor Otti’s administration.
In another development, Dr Chima Anyaso ahead of the 2027 general elections, called on the people of Abia State, particularly those in his constituency, to take the ongoing voters’ registration exercise seriously.
He emphasized that the power to sustain good governance and ensure continuity lies in the hands of the electorate, and the first step is to get registered.
According to him, credible leaders can only emerge when the people participate actively in the electoral process, starting with voter registration, explaining that having a strong voter base is not only a civic responsibility but also a strategic tool for communities to secure their fair share of political representation and development.
Dr. Anyaso further revealed that he has been personally involved in mobilizing his people to register, noting that he wants to ensure that Bende Local Government and other parts of Abia State record impressive figures in the exercise and described the voter registration drive as a foundation upon which the future political strength of the state would rest.
He urged the people not to wait until election periods to show interest in politics but to begin now by securing their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), which remain the most potent weapon for shaping leadership and influencing governance outcomes in a democracy.
