Two ADC Members to Face Disciplinary Committee for Allegedly Disparaging Abia State Chairman
The African Democratic Congress (ADC), in Abia State, is set to discipline two of its members accused of ridiculing both the party and the office of its State Chairman, Hon Don Norman Obinna.
The affected members, Hon Nkem Ukandu of ADC Uzuakoli Ward in Bende Local Government Area and Mr Kalu Kalu Agu of ADC Ania Ward, Akanu in Ohafia Local Government Area, were directed to appear before the Disciplinary Committees of their respective wards within 48 hours.
In separate letters signed by the chairmen of the Uzuakoli and Ania ward Disciplinary Committees, Mr. David Chinwe and Mr. Kalu Ukoha Agwu, the members were summoned to respond to allegations of misconduct, whereby they were accused of disparaging the State Chairman and bringing the ADC to disrepute on August 22, 2025, at Nobik Event Center, owned by Senator Enyinnaya Abaribe.
The committees stated that the invitation is intended to give Hon Ukandu and Mr Agu the opportunity to explain their role in the circulation of a purported suspension of the State Chairman, which they described as illegal.
While urging full compliance, the committees directed Hon Ukandu to appear at One Love Hotel, Uzuakoli, and Mr. Agu at Paradise Hotel, Akanu, Ohafia, within 48 hours.
