Ex-IPAC Chief Advises Abia Govt To Commit More Investment To State’s Development

The former South East Chairman of the Inter-Party Advisory Council (IPAC), Hon. Emeka Okafor, has urged the Abia State Government to commit more funds to infrastructure development in order to realize the Abia State of our dreams.

Addressing newsmen in Umuahia, Hon. Okafor emphasized that the development of Abia should be the top priority of any government in power. While acknowledging that the current administration has made commendable efforts, he stressed the need for increased financial commitment to critical infrastructure projects now that the state receives higher federal allocations.

He noted that improved roads, healthcare facilities, and educational infrastructure would not only enhance the living standards of the people but also attract investors and boost economic growth in the state.

“The Governor is doing his best, and we commend him for the strides made so far. However, with the improved revenue and allocation the state is now getting, more should be invested in key sectors that directly impact the people”.

Hon Okafor also called for transparency and inclusiveness in the budgeting and implementation processes, urging the government to carry stakeholders along to ensure equitable development across all zones of the state.

He encouraged citizens to remain engaged in governance through constructive feedback and support for initiatives that promote the collective good of Abians.
